Them bones!

A great time is being had study the skeletal system.  Year 6s have been involved in researching the function of the skeletal system, finding out the common and scientific names for bones, observing and making notes on different types of bones.
This study has great links to PE,  measurement, literacy and science!

'Walk and Wheel'

It was great to see everyone at Jubilee Park yesterday.....what a fab way to start the school day - walking/wheeling to school with the Mayor, Sport Otago, More FM and loads of parents!
Walk and Wheel Week is a great initiative to encourage sustainable ways to get to school.  It's worth thinking about as walking/wheeling to school helps to reduce traffic at the school gate, clears your head, is a chance to catch up with friends and is cheap!
